Working with clay, throwing and altering and making sculptural vessels is an intense pleasure, with my approach firmly anchored in my other passion - T'ai Chi.
Making the leap from a collector of ceramics to a creator of ceramics happened fairly late in my life and the enthusiasm for clay has grown exponentially.
My love for raku-firing stems from my first purchase of a small raku goblet when I was 10 years old. The immediacy and unpredictability of the process appeals to me as does experimenting with my own glazes.
